The bollards outside the Maypole pub have been replaced recently after a request from County Councillor Sarah Whitebread.

Several residents contacted both Sarah and City Councillor Andrea Reiner about the old bollards, which were broken and easily removable.  Car drivers were removing the bollards to access the Park Street area as a rat run.

Sarah commented “I’m grateful to the County Highways team for such a quick turnaround.  The new bollards are much more secure and look a lot smarter.”
