Application for Fez Club rejected

The City Council this week rejected a planning application to turn the Fez Club into a block of flats.

Cllr Colin Rosenstiel said: “Both the uncompensated loss of the night club, a well established and well used entertainment facility, and the issue of introducing residential use into an environment that might jeopardise other entertainment uses are well set out in documents on the public planning file and amount to compelling reasons to refuse the present application.”
