Climate Change Doubter makes Cllr Whitebread’s Christmas Card List

Our own Cllr Sarah Whitebread has sent a Christmas Card to Conservative County Council Leader Nick Clarke to highlight the problem of global warming. In October Clarke blogged that he thought global warming may not exist and doubted that it was caused by human activity if it does.

Cllr Whitebread was quoted in the Cambridge News as saying, “I just thought it was quite worrying and scary that someone in a position of quite a lot of power can completely ignore the science.”

The card said:

Nick,

Please think again about allowing wind developments on county farms,
and help to keep Cambridgeshire at the forefront of the green energy
revolution.

We hope you will put the economic vitality of the County before your
personal views on climate change. You’ve said yourself you’re not an
expert. Some of us are.

Have a merry Christmas

The card was signed by Cllr Whitebread, green campaigners and academics.
