The next West Central Area Committee is being held Wednesday, 30th September at 7pm at Castle Street Methodist Church, Castle Street

It’s another full and varied programme:

There will be a report on the performance of the Cambridge Business Improvement District (BID) and you will have the opportunity to put your questions,ideas and concerns to a representative of the BID.

There will also be the quarterly report on policing and safer neighbourhoods and setting policing priorities — and again the police will be present to take your questions.

In addition the annual Environmental report will be under the spotlight.

There will also be two items on the ongoing street lighting project. Firstly, Balfour Beatty and the County Council will be present to talk about the next phase of the renewal programme in the city centre and to take your questions.
Secondly, the City Council wish to lead an item on the potential impact on community safety of the County proposal to switch off most of city lighting between midnight and 6am from April 2016.

As well as this there will of course be the regular and popular open forum.
