Three new semi-mature trees have recently been planted around the Grafton Centre — one in Burleigh Street, and another two in Fitzroy Street to replace others which were lifting the pavement and creating a serious safety hazard.

Cllr Tim Bick said, “I am delighted with the new trees. They soften what is otherwise a harsh built-up environment.”

Also installed are new waste bins, which provide both increased capacity and allow for recycling.
